Busy Days

I'm sorry, I haven't been keeping things up to date here, but its been busy both in work and in my personal life. Plus, I only like to blog when I have something remotely interesting to say...sadly, this really isn't one of those times, but in case you didn't know:
- We've had our second child, McKenna Elizabeth, 6lbs, 12oz, 18 inches long and a full head of hair, (pics coming relatively soon).
- We've had tons of visitors lately and we're both very exhausted...the last thing I want to do is update a blog that perhaps 5 people read ;)
- I'm probably going to convert this over to a Wordpress blog or something in order to take advantage of features that I just don't have time to write, but who knows when I'll get that time
- The Wii Fit -- and more recently WiiMusic -- have been taking up alot of my freetime while Olivia and I try out the various balance games and make obnoxious MIDI music but I wouldn't replace that time with _anything_
- Most of my online presence is now spent on either facebook.com or twitter.com. If you _really_ want to keep up with the mundane details of my life...look me up there...

What are your feelings on the online dating services... are they safe...is it all perverts looking for sex partners??

To be honest sis, I don't know anything about them really. If one does sign up, I'd recommend a more "well known" one such as e-harmony.com or match.com I suppose.
I know one person that met his current wife through a dating site and they now have one child and are living large in Texas. A woman that I work with says if your going to pick one, use e-harmony.com. Its a pain because you fill out this huge personality thing...but then they apparently send you potential matches, where as the "other" service you just sort browse and find-a-hottie. With something like that, I'd think you're more likely to run into the perverts just lookin for a hookup.
Stay away from Yahoo Dating stuff and by all mean do *NOT* go to craigslist...ewww, just thinking about it makes me wanna wash my brain out with soap.
Other than that, I've no clue because I've never used any of those services.
It all comes down to --so I'm told by my co-worker-- luck. She apparently has a friend that has met many people through match.com, but that leads me to believe that she's not finding the right people. She recommends e-harmony.com if you're going to try those services.
Final tip: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAY -- meet in public should you find a "match" and go with you're gut...if someone makes you feel uneasy...stop right there....

Ryan and Robin, I was on match.com. The first one I met was on the rebound from her divorce... a little out there. BUT... That is where I met Amy. Our first date was two years ago and at first we met at public places. Then it went to meeting at each others houses. It depends on who it is and what they are looking for. We are now married and things are good. I wouldn't trade her for anything. It just depends on your luck with who you meet. Like Ryan said if it doesn't feel right then stop. Amy is one in a million and we were lucky. Neither one was looking for a hook up. Just take your time and talk on the phone too. That's how we started. It took off from there. Just take your time and make sure the person is good before you let them know where you live. I wasn't offended when Amy wanted to meet in public. Any suitable person should not be..if they are RUN!! Take your time and enjoy the time and you will know if they are the right one. Any other questions I can answer her or I give Ryan permission to give you my e-mail addy and/ or phone number. He has both and its not a problem. Take care both of you and maybe talk to you soon
