Win One for the Gibb...

In nail biter of a game, Monday Night Football returned to the homes of Americans for another season in the NFL. To make this even more sweet to me, MY TEAM was playing one of my my least favorite teams. (In my book they rank right down with Dallas...
If that weren\'t reason enough to be excited...Joe Gibb has returned to coach his old team. If not for the simple reason that I *love* the \'skins, I wanted them to win mainly for Joe. Granted it\'s only pre-season and means nothing, I think it meant alot to Joe to be gone for so long and comeback to the game an win the first time his players take the field.
Anyway, the game started out rather well but there were alot of flags as the new guys got their feet wet. We lost Jim Jansen who apparently is the most tenured on the \'skins, however with him out, Joe managed to push his team and the second half was much more interesting...*ahem* minus the penalties.
Anyway, we won by three in the last few seconds of the game with probably one of the closest field goals I\'ve ever seen...
It\'s good to have Joe back...whether we win or not, its good...now if we can just get rid of Snyder...(for those of you who don\'t know, he\'s a slimy rich guy, (owner of the \'skins), who thinks he can *buy* a winning team, not *build* one.

I know that I\'m *cough* a Denver fan, but a 3-point win in the pre-season does not a comeback make. Just check out Steve Spurrier\'s pre-season record with the \'Skins. I\'m just saying!

I can certainly agree with that...however, more important to me than anything with this game was that it was Joe Gibbs\' first time to take the field since he left the NFL years ago. To me, the importance was a win for him.
(Though I do feel that I must note, Spurrier indeed went undefeated in pre-season, but did so with all his first string players. Joe at least played his B players after the first quarter.)
