Whistle, Blip, Bleep! Ryan on Dec 20, 2004 9:18pm
Carrie and I bought ourselves, (probably more for me), an early Christmas present the other day and picked up the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD. Just this evening we had the opportunity to sit down and watch the first one. Seeing as how, at any giving time we have a sleeping baby on our hands, we have the volume turned down to a relatively low-level, and have the closed captioning turned on so we can at least read what we can\'t hear.

Which brings me to the point of this entry, you\'d think for all the the digital remastering they\'ve done with this film, they\'d at least have been able to do something a bit more interesting with the captioning for R2-D2. Literally throughout the film, R2\'s dialog as been Blip, Blip, Bleep, and various combinations of Whistle, Whine, Blip, Bleep, and Wheee. While I\'ve never understood what R2 was saying anyway, this still doesn\'t manage to clear it up at all. However, its quite entertaining.

Well its off to bed, Olivia and her mother have turned in a bit ahead of me, but I figure Carrie will get to take her first feeding at around 1am, and I\'ll be the follow up feeder at around 4 or 5.

\'Night...

You mean to tell me that you don\'t know what \"Whistle, whine, bleep, bleep\" means? Well, now that you have a baby, she will be able to translate because they just happen to speak that same language.....just wait and see.
