What It Do? Ryan on Jan 04, 2006 9:25am

Lately it seems that I have been getting a bit more exposure to the whole \"rap\" genre, something I\'ve never really liked at all before. I am sure Andy has something to do with that, and is silently laughing inside...no I take that back, he\'s laughing in my face.

Aside from that, there\'s one song that for some reason, I can\'t seem to stop listening to, and that is Eminem\'s \"Lose Yourself.\" For those of you who might not be sure what that is, it\'s the one that plays during the credits of his movie 8-Mile, and its also the one from one of the Apple i-Pod commercials. It has some surprisingly motivating lyrics and a beat that sort of pumps you up.

However, for some reason I still can\'t bring myself to listen to much more than that. (Well, there was this one epsiode of \"Daisy Does America\", she performed in a rap battle...not to well...but she did it anyway, and it was funny). But outside of that, rap still isn\'t my thing.

I *DO* suggest watching the movie 8-Mile, while we swore we\'d never watch it, it happened to be on TV the other night so we left it on, and we both enjoyed, which surprised me, mainly because Carrie never wanted anything to do with seeing it and she\'s the one that left it on.

Anyway, here\'s to broadening one\'s horizons....
