Vacation Days

This weekend begins a rather nice vaction for us. Heading to the north woods to visit Carrie\'s family. We have a niece graduating as well, so the both of us are feeling pretty old.
While I love heading that way, technology is not too nearby, so blogging may be a bit of a challenge and I doubt I\'ll get to do that much if at all. However my friends, if you absolutley cannot live without my ramblings, there\'s hope.
I\'ve been working on a bit of a hack using something called eVoice and Google mail to create sort of an audio blog, that I can post to from anywhere I get a cell phone signal. The quality isn\'t so hot, but it does what I wanted...if I am out on the lake in my kayak and feel the need to describe the peace and serenity of the setting, I can whip out the old phone and blog away.
If I *DO* get that opportunity, the link is here. I remind you that the quality really sucks, but you can at the very least understand what I am saying. I imagine, the better the signal, the clearer the message. Since I\'ll be in the north woods, the signal probably won\'t be too clear, and it will definitely be analog. But hell, after 7pm I all calls are free. I am paying nothing for the eVoice or Google mail, so that means this solution is abso-freaking-lutely free.
All I have to do is clear the two test messages I have posted there now, and we\'re ready to roll. So in textual absence, maybe you can still get your fix...(all two of you). In case I don\'t get to post tomorrow, I wish everyone a great holiday and enjoy the kickoff of the Summer Season...
