As you could probably guess, my back is still driving me crazy. Add to that some nasty updates that I am wading through for one of our clients, and the fact that traffic this morning was halted on my way in...(more about that in a sec), and my day is just not one of my better days.

As referenced above, my drive in this morning was held up. Now for what reason I really can\'t say, other than the fact that they had a group of workers out raking weeds in the median. It involved a vehicle with some flashing light, but only blocked the very early portion of a turning lane, so nothing really should have been slowed at all. However, here are my theories as to why traffic came to a halt:

• The majority of people were shocked because they actually saw union workers working
• It was just the usual Madison collective hard at work doing what they do best, rubbernecking/annoying me/not remembering how to drive
• Nobody in this area has ever seen a rake before
• The flashing lights is actually a plot by the government used to hypnotize us into thinking we need to watch more TV, get fat, and provide energy for aliens that the government has secretly made a deal with
• Maybe my coffee was really industrial strength and I was really driving at 90 mph but it seemed like I was going so slow

I am sure that my union comment is going to piss off a few folks but I don\'t want to get into that here and now. I just have another friend that is experiencing the same union woes that I\'ve experienced, which supports my theory that they really aren\'t the best thing for those of us that wish to advance our careers. That is it, all done...\'nuff said about that.

Anyhow, with any luck, I\'ll miss all of the traffic tomorrow due to another visit to the crack-o-practor. I\'m such a mess...
