Scractch \'N\' Sniff Ryan on Nov 12, 2004 5:59am
Sometimes I wish that we had the technology for scratch \'n\' sniff web-browsers. Or at the very least, scratch \'n\' sniff blogs. That way you all could enjoy the olfactory sensation that the folks in our office are going to have to deal with all day.

It seems that the build next-door needs a new roof. So they\'ve got the tar warming up out back. Only it doesn\'t smell like tar. Matter of fact it reminds of a boy I used to know back in grade school. You know the type, didn\'t quite fit in, sorta chunky, and no matter what he ate, it always came back out smelling like rotten eggs. Yeah...that\'s about the smell in the office right about now. (I swear honey, it wasn\'t me...).

So while I am sitting here wishing we had scratch \'n\' sniff blogs, you can be thankful that they don\'t.

I can second the Scratch-n-sniff wish. You would not believe the stench we get here in the winter. The delicious scent of boiling bug larvae (a nice snack here:(...) and the ever present of pooh. Gotta love the open drainage the streets have! Boy am I ready to be home again!!!!

At this point Ryan I would love the \"tar\" scent!!!!

I can\'t imagine heading down the street to pick up some fresh bug larvae and then slipping on the street and landing in a puddle of poo, thereby ruining the bug larvae you just bought.

After painting that picture, I think I\'d stick with the tar as well. Pretty soon, it\'ll be baby diapers though...I think of it as training...

It is not exactly THAT open of drainage....just under the streets and the nasty pooh smell comes up the drains. It would be great if it stayed in the streets BUT (a very big BUT) the incredible stench comes into the houses thru the lovely drains in the bathroom floors. I would much rather just have the diaper smell then the mix of aromas that have been introduced to us;) Enjoy your training.......Nothing compares to the real thing;)

So what part of Korea are you guys in anyway?

I hear the teenagers there can type faster on their cellphones than they can a normal keyboard...(or maybe that was Japan).

Think of all the stories you are going to, and probably already have, about the different cultures you\'ve experienced...\'cept for the poo

We are in Seoul, South Korea.

It has been an experience to say the least. The kids are a hit here. Blonde (and strawberry blonde....Faith) draw all the attention. They have done some modeling jobs for different childrens clothing lines here. That is great for their scrapbooks.......and savings accounts:)

Yes the poo is the experience to forget;)
