Return to Quake

So I got to goofin\' around a bit this weekend and ran across some of my old Quake files. Seeing as how Quake has numerous ways to run on linux, I did some research and found this little project that has basically re-written the Quake engine to use more up to date technology. Darkplaces is a complete re-work of the Quake engine that allows for much nicer graphics and support for all of the little plugins that I liked to play back when this was *the only* think I did.
I fired up the engine, loaded a few of my levels and realized that I really sucked at creating levels. However, I could tell that I was getting better as they went along. It sort of make we wish I actually had the time to re-write/modify some of those levels. Who knows, maybe some night when I am up late, and the house is quiet, I\'ll get that chance. But for now, I\'ll settle with taking that walk down memory lane every now an again. Someday, maybe, I\'ll even post those old levels if I am not too ashamed.
Ahh the old days...
