Ready For the Weekend Ryan on Nov 05, 2004 2:50pm
First off, I am so making this my background! Ehrm....maybe not.

It was one of those weeks where focus was certainly not my forte. I was having problems early this week with some code. After enlisting the help of my cohorts several times, we finally beat it into submission. After that, I think my brain took about a 24-hour vacation where I didn\'t get much accomplished. That\'s okay though, because the hard part is pretty much behind me now, except for some small tweaks. Things should start moving along faster for me now, which is good.

We had a really good meeting today to, and talked a bit about what we\'d like to see our infrastructure become at work. Naturally I barfed my Debian evangelism all over Kevin and Andy, but in our situation, I think it makes good sense. We\'re a small company and won\'t need a huge name behind our server OS as we already do our own support anway. Nor are we offering Linux to customers, or actively doing so anyway. We also have this huge \"Zero-Entropy\" environment that they\'ve been shooting for for so long and have never made. Debian, in my mind, will fit that need quite well. Its just a matter of convincing some folks to let go of a few things that, I think, are slowing us down anyway.

We\'d like to go see \"The Incredibles\" this weekend, but the more I think about it, we may want to wait since the theaters will all be full and we hate that so much. Instead, we\'ll most likely get together with a friend of Carrie\'s and her husband. I met them both breifly a week or two ago and they just seem like the kind of couple that Carrie and I could hang out with. He and I certainly have the same sense of humor which will be nice for Carrie and Amy as they\'ll probably get driven nuts. Such is life...

Well, not much left to do this evening, Carrie is working until six so I\'m just gonna hang around the office until its time to go and get her. She\'s such a busy person, and here I am, the slacker...we really do balance each other out well.
