Carrie is actually downtown today, so we get to enjoy a rare treat this afternoon and have lunch together. It\'s been a long time since we were last able to do that.

I smashed up my ring finger pretty good yesterday while playing football with some neighborhood guys. I can\'t get my wedding ring back on my finger. I had to remove it though because the swelling was turning my entire finger purple. As soon as I removed it, my finger\'s color turned back to normal, but holy balls did that hurt when i took it off. It\'s still kinda sore, but its more stiff than anything due to the swelling.

The Packers sort of embarassed themselves yesterday at Lambeau, and while I am not an avid packer fan, I was hoping to see them win. Actually expecting to see them win, but alas, the Bears beat up on them pretty bad. It kinda gives me hope for the Halloween game this year when the Pack has to visit FedEx field to play my Redskins...someone at the office quipped for the Pack, \"We\'re gonna kick their ass\", I hate that crap. And now, after playing like they did yesterday, I think the Skins have a valid shot. We\'ll see...

Finally, my fantasy football team did \"better\" than last week, though it looks as though I may still wind up losing this week. We\'ll see...
