While investigating a small issue on one of our unix boxes this morning, I noticed that this particular machine had been up for 255 days without an outage, (for non-techies...without have to \"reboot\" or \"shutdown\"). I had to marvel at that length of time. 255 days is not something you tend to see in the windows world. I understand totally however, that this is only something that can be appreciated by a geek. (Mind you there are machines that have been up *MUCH MUCH* longer than that...).

So for those of you that aren\'t geeks, it\'s hard for me to find a comparison, much less an entertaining one. Therefore, just nod your head and say \"Coooooool\", it makes me feel better.

So here\'s to 255 and still going...
