Leave it to a geek to really get a kick out of watching a small black arrow on a little LCD screen track his or her movements down the highway. That my friends is exaclty what I did this morning.

Yesterday after realizing that I am not as young as I used to be, and throwing my back out...quite effectively I must say...I made a short trip to Best Buy and picked up one of these. I got it really cheap, \'cause I used my gift certificate to pay for most of it. Anyway, needless to say, since I\'ve had alot of couch time, I\'ve been almost unable to put it down.

I left for the chiropractor this morning to get myself put back together, but I couldn\'t leave without the geeky goodness that only satellite navigation can provide. I immediately turned it on, waited for it to find three satellites in order to pinpoint my location on this great earth and drove off. I was completely dumbfounded at how well it tracked my speed, route, etc. It proved to be rather dangerous however, because I couldn\'t stop picking it up every time I passed an exit to see how close it was. This darn thing was dead-balls on. (Whatver that means).

Now I really can\'t wait to do some Geo Caching. There are apparently some nice geo-caches near my mother-in-law\'s house and I fully plan to put one up of my own. I\'ll let everyone know the coords if and when I do this.

I love bein\' a geek...

I\'d like one of these because I can\'t find my way out of a paper bag.
Seriously though, do you really want us to believe you will use this tool for legitimate activities like tracking your canoe trips or finding the nearest watering hole?
We all know a geek like you uses a GPS to map wireless hotspots, with the help of products like Look@LAN (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3365.html), and Netstumbler (www.netstumbler.com).
