Happy August!! A new month of blogging ahead of me.

In my family, Winter must be the \"romantic season.\" There are several family birthdays, including mine, during August. This year however, is the first birthday that I really don\'t care to celebrate. Alas I am leaving my twenties behind me and entering the world of thirty. I don\'t even like how that word is spelled: t-h-i-r-t-y. Looks, its ugly!!

At least I won\'t be thirty-six like my sister or *gulp* forty like my brother, but he at least gets to wait until February for that gem. I take refuge in the fact that I have to wait to the near end of the month before I being my trudge up the hill known as \"your thirties.\" I\'ll be nearly fifty before my child graduates from high-school. I *shudder* to think about that, especially since the men in my family don\'t seem to last much longer after that.

Perhaps it\'s time to really start paying attention to health...nahhh pass the Dorito\'s please....there goes my hope of retirement before age thirty...
