Dawg Days Ryan on Jun 28, 2005 9:40pm
I am not really sure what the \"Dog Days\" of summer are really supposed to be, but today felt like we were right smack dab in the middle of them. Both Carrie & I had rough days. And while I really can\'t speak for Carrie, (she\'s just gonna have to start blogging) I can speak for myself. Not that most of you wanna hear, but tough...

I spent most of last week and the beginning of this week dealing with some pretty crappy stuff at work. Demanding clients throwing down deadlines, and basically abusing the fact that they are a faithful customer. Needless to say we all put our hero\'s capes on and saved the day as usual, so that\'s good, but its oooooohhh so bad. We can\'t be dropping everything for everyone else when they have deadlines that they\'ve either planned poorly or left things out entirely. Us always doing that is not really a precedent I\'d like us to set. Sure, show \'em we can get the job done, but respect our personal time as well as our other customers\' time.

I spent most of today doing the mundane. ALOT of boring tasks that got knocked out of the way, so that is good, but it\'s oh so painful to get through. Nothing challenging, but completely and utterly boring...I\'d rather do documentation I think, than the repetitive crap I did today, but its done now and I can flush it.

Tomorrow I become a spammer again for a few days, so this week isn\'t going to wind up good all the way around I think. I\'ll be glad when it\'s over.

The best news is that Olivia will be 7 months old on Friday...time is really flying...she\'s doing great but has her rough days where she really doesn\'t want anything but to be attached to mommy\'s hip. Lucky girl...
