Nasty storms ripped through a good chunk of Madison last night and there were apparently a number of funnel clouds spotted in surrounding areas. There was also a report of a touchdown near one of the newsrooms in the area.

I missed most of the storm because we were actually shelled up in the basement. We just happened to be watching the news report when the station lost power. That apparently was enough and down to the basement we went.

Having never seen an actual funnel cloud, I wanted to stay where I could watch for a bit...then again, I didn\'t want to be the guy on the 10:00 news getting interviewed in my underwear 8 miles from home saying, \"I dunno what happened, one minute I was fine and the next I was flying through the air naked...\"
