Child Immunization

There are a number of people out there who would not recommend childhood immunizations. Just six days after Olivia had hers, she displayed some *wierd* behaviour. (Seizure-like fits, five of them, all in the same day, haven\'t happened since).
Our chiropractor and another person said they\'d recommend against them. I quickly polled my fellow office workers, and they\'ve all had their kids immunized, so now I ask you all.
Would you get your children immunized? If so, would you still continue with immunization if you child acted as Olivia did within a week of his/her first shots?

I would say if the EEG is clear I would have a comprehensive discussion with your pediatrian.
Some questions: Can the immunization be delayed until she is older? Can the immunizations be administered individually instead of as a group? Can they be administered as a lower dose, but more times? Maybe Olivia can\'t tolerate the size of the dose. Carrie and I already discussed this and more.
Some people, even adults like myself, can not tolerate a typical full dose of a medication. More research, lots of questions to ask. Until I had the answers to these and other questions related to dozing and recorded statistics related to the immunizations, I would consider delaying the next set of shots at least for awhile.

guys... you asked for my opinion so here it is...
I believe that everyone will react differently to different diseases and to medications... some people can\'t have peneciline(excuse the spelling....diff.shift too tired)some people cant have any type of antibiodics because their immune system is too week... Always whenever in doubt, talk to your doctor and then get a second opinion from another professional... ask yourself what might have went wrong... did we give her any Tylenol an hour before she got her shots? Did we give her any Tylenol or another such as Motrin after the shots?
maybe a mixture of medicines she cant have... In my opinion the vaccines(lol) I caant type tonight), are out there to protect us so I would go ahead but also documtent and tell the doctors just what was going on and what you did and see what they say. I hope I made some sense... and remember 911 is always out there for you too even if you might be scared... just ask Trish some of the shit they get calls for.
Love yas wish I could be there1

Kendra didn\'t react to anything but it is possible Olivia might have an allergy to something. To put her in any type of daycare they are required. Just remember everyone is different so she might be sentive to something. Just be gald she doesn\'t have any blood in her stool like Kendra did at that age. Talk about fear and stress. All new parents over react me included so don\'t feel bad about asking your doctor anything. Thats what they are there for. Also look for a nurse hot line. Toledo has one
Talk to you later and if you want give a call sometime

My opinion - get the immunizations. You wouldn\'t want her to get Polio or Mumps later in life. That would be awful!
But definitely ask her pediatrician (and you can always ask someone else for a 2nd opinion as well) if they can be given in intervals because its alot of shots to get all at once.
Take care! :)

Of course we hear bad things can happen with immunizations, but do we ever get to hear the good things?
No we don\'t hear the good things because we never get to see the diseases that attack us being fought off by the vaccinations. It happens everyday, planes land...nobody hears about it. A plane crashes, people die, it makes the front page. Maybe its not a good comparison, but I think it gets the point across.
