It\'s been a rather rought week, and before I can just put my head down and dig in, I just need to get this off my chest.

We lost a lot of good people today due to a major slow down in the Madison area in several of the IT arena\'s. It\'s times like this when one thinks he may be better off working for a large company but having been down that road before, the goodbye\'s come even more often. The difference being you don\'t know half the people and while you feel some sort of pain, it usually doesn\'t run too deep and by the next day most of the feeling is gone.

Today however, the gravity of the situation is still weighing rather heavily on me considering I knew all of these people and was good friends with one of them. It isn\'t easy and its going to be tough for a while. The hope is that the \"lull\" in consulting work will subside after a while and some of these folks can come back to us...until then, my thoughts and prayers are with them all...
