I used to come home at night and complain to poor Carrie about how there were days where I sat at work and literally did nothing productive. I\'d rant and rave about how bad of a day it was. In the back of my mind, I always knew that there\'d be a shift towards the opposite, and holy shit, it\'s here!

I\'m juggling several deadlines at work, a few more on the side, and the holiday are quickly approaching. I\'ve got to build Carrie a craft table, buy presents...its just gonna be a hectic couple of months. Still, I think its better that I am busy as now I feel more like I am playing at least a semi-important role on the team. The feeling of being a positive part of a team is good.

On top of that, I got to work the entire day in PHP-land. Last Friday, I got to play for a few our in Ruby. The variety, I think is a good thing. Even though I mentioned before that so far Ruby has shown itself to me to be more than a buzz-word, I \"did\" enjoy my little exploratory trip through Ruby.

Overall, I guess I am trying to say that, I am busy, but alot happier with my current situation than I was a few weeks ago. Perhaps that has some to do with the fact that I got to see my sister and her kids this past weekend. It\'s just been a good couple of weeks and I am enjoying it...

Here\'s to hoping I don\'t blow this by thinking the next big \"oh shit\" is right around the corner...
