Burying the Hatchet Ryan on Aug 04, 2004 11:21am
I try and make a habit of checking my logs and basically seeing where some of my visitors come from. Not long after I started this site, I came across an interesting address. A company in Milwaukee in which I know at least three of my past aquaintances from my days in Chicago would be coming from. I had guesses of whom it may be of those three.

Anyway it appears that since my little site-outage, (not fault of mine), a few weeks back, that I\'ve lost that visitor. Its sort of a bummer too, because I was hoping that if it were a certain one of those three in particular, that it would mean we are one step closer to burying an old hatchet. (It very well could\'ve been one of the other two, or a combination of all three considering I am only getting the external addres sof the company, but I digress).

I check daily now to see if this address appears in my logs anywhere and when it doesn\'t, to be honest, its a bit of a buzz-kill. Should this person come back for a visit, you know who you are, I offer once again to put the past behind us and attempt to get to know each other once more. Alot has changed in our lives, he\'s become a dad, I am going to be one. We had fun times but pride on both sides of the fence got the better of us. We had both let alot of time pass before anyone made any sort of contact. Just this past March, I was going to be in the area and offered to buy him a beer. Never did hear back.

Anyway, I shouldn\'t let this sort of thing bother me, we have people pass in and out of our lives all throughout life. Even so, I know I\'ll be checking the logs, hoping to see the return of a string of characters that now represent the friend I once knew.
