On Friday, Olivia actually crawled for the very first time. Carrie and I were such the proud parents. Not only did she crawl on Friday, but on Saturday she took off like a shot! She made up here mind and just \"hit it\" across the living room floor. Needless to say we bought a baby gate and have been totally engrossed in watching her explore everything she can now get to.
Also, over the weekend she began to do something that sort of \"seemed like waving\" bye-bye, (or hello, that\'s gotta be so confusing for babies). We weren\'t quite sure, but this morning as I was leaving, and waved as I normally do, she waved back. Talk about getting all gooey on the inside! *sniffle*
She also appears to have learned how to clap. She understands that when we do it, its a *good* thing and smiles. Now she\'s picked up the habit and its really great.
On the teething front, she\'s finally broke one top tooth through and the second one is coming right behind it, (albeit not fast enough for Carrie who is worred she\'s going to look like a hick if it they come in too far apart in time from one another).
I supposed now is the time to really pour on the \"Baby Signs\" stuff and see what sticks. I\'ve wanted to get her to do them ever since I found out Carrie was pregnant and now seems to be the time where she is imitating, so I hope I can be disciplined enough to stick with it and teach her some basic signs. THAT would be entirely too cool.
Well, there you have them...the latest round of Olivia updates...I hope you are as excited as we are...
