Carrie and I went to an all-day child birthing class this saturday. The majority of the folks were our age and there were about 9 or 10 couples.
The instructor was really good I think. She actually walked us through some \"realtime\" contractions. Some of early labor some from Active/Transitional labor. She was a darn good actrees, I felt at one point I needed to call the doctor cause this chick was havin\' a baby!
I don\'t think anyone really expected here to sit there and breathe/pant through a pretend contraction for a full minute and a half, but bless her heart, she did. Needless to say, I think we got our money\'s worth.
I think Carrie is planning on not using any sort of pain killer, etc but I certainly will encourage her to if she needs to. I can\'t believe what is about to happen...it\'s amazing.
The only thing I didn\'t really like about the class was the imagery excercise at the end. Granted that was really just for the mom\'s in the group, but she took us down an imaginary beach that ended up talking about feeling one\'s on cervix thin and pull back etc...(at that point I am sure she lost the dad\'s in the group.)
Anyway, my fantasy team is nearly at 100%. I have several questionable\'s though so I may end up with half a team this weekend. My star running back may be in jail soon, and he\'s playin\' against my \'Skins today...its gonna be a nasty game weekend I think...
