Oh my...its been a very long week. Olivia and I both came down with something on Sunday and while I have been fending off the symptoms with nightly doses of NyQuil and daily doses of DayQuil, poor Olivia has had to suffer through it all drugless. (And poor Carrie has had to stay at home with her through all of the whining and crying)...I feel bad for both Liv and Carrie as it can\'t be at all a pleasant experience at home.

Last night she had a fever over 101 under the arm so naturally as new parents, we worried. I mean, Tylenol is only going so far and this little girl is really uncomfortable. We can\'t get her to drink anything but water or formula so we\'re pushing as much water as we can, but I wish the darn girl would take some juice or something. I must\'ve drank a couple gallons of juice the first two days and while I am still a bit under the weather, I do at least feel better.

I feel so bad too, because there is nothing we can do to help Liv feel better. She\'s just having to fight through it while her mother and I sit there feeling bad for her. Needless to say, its just been a tough week.

On the lighter side of things though, I should get my TV Tuner card from UPS today and start building our own Tivo using something called MythTV. Its geek stuff, but I\'m excited. The cool thing is, it does a whole hell of alot more than a plain old Tivo too, so it isn\'t like its just a homebrew box replacment for Tivo...its just better all the way around.

Eventually I think it\'d be cool to have my entire family on one of these boxes each with a USB webcam. Then we could actually video conference with this thing too. I\'ve got all these big plans, and no time to get them goin...but I hope to at least have the Tivo stuff done within the next couple of weeks.
