Ya know, for a geek, I sure can be slow sometimes, especially when it comes to this iMac. I\'ve finally figured out how to run firefox as an installed application rather than a \"mounted\" application running right from the image.

In doing so, I am reminded of my earlier post concerning Mac on x86. Again, I really do believe that Mac OS X faces some challenges in this arena, well one challenge really...familiarity. When I install an application in any other OS, I am usually taken throught some sort of install process. Not so on the Mac concering firefox. I had to run the image and drag the firefox app to the hard drive and then from there to the toolbar for my quick link. While that is incredibly simple and actually, I think I like it alot, it took me forever to figure that out. I just don\'t think your average everday Windows user would\'ve figured that out either. I\'ve seem some folks have a pretty messed up desktop by installing application to the desktop itself, etc. I can\'t imagine what they\'d do to a Mac...
